My mom often served canned cream corn, just heated up and dished into a bowl with lots of black pepper, as a side dish for, oh, meatloaf. Yes I did grow up in the 70s (we did however eat only fresh asparagus).

I just made the corn fritters for a group of people tonight–it went over really well! I love creamed corn but didn’t know if others would like it, so I wanted to do something exciting with the creamed corn. Thanks so much for a great recipe!

Mmm…the corn fritters look good! Never thought of using creamed corn – I followed another recipe using canned corn kernels and Spam! It was great!
